Cissy Houston says “NO” to the Idea of Rihanna playing Her Daughter In Biographical Movie of “Whitney Houston”
Well, it looks like Rihanna’s brief excitement about the possibility of playing Whitney Houston in a possible biopic movie about the deceased legend has come to a swift and abrupt end. Cissy Houston, Whitney’s mother, is absolutely furious at the idea of Rihanna playing the role of her daughter. She feels strongly about not letting Rihanna land the leading role, because she feels as though Rihanna represents everything that was negative about Whitney.
Here’s what Cissy Houston had to say about Rihanna according to a source close to Cissy:
“Over my dead body! Cissy believes Rihanna celebrates everything she hated about Whitney’s life — the drugging, the boxing, the abusive relationship. Cissy does not think Whitney should be represented by someone like Rihanna. In spite of what anyone thought about Whitney, she sees her as a God-fearing Christian who loved the Lord. Cissy is also dead-set against a movie being made about Whitney without family involvement because she fears outsiders would focus too much on the negative aspects of her daughter’s troubled life. Cissy said IF there is a movie made about Whitney, she would insist on approving the actress, and Rihanna certainly would NOT be on the list.”
